Enhancing Transparency: How Customer Feedback Shaped Our New Reporting Feature

Written by Michael Sullivan | Sep 6, 2024 1:45:00 PM

Back in February, we added a simple widget to our website to help us better manage customer feedback. You’ll notice it on most pages, hanging out on the left-hand side, inviting customers to click and submit their feedback, respond to other customers' comments, or vote on suggestions.

Almost immediately after implementing this feature, we received a comment from a customer who proposed that we add more transparency when reporting course completions to individual state bars.

A number of other customers reacted positively to this idea and the product team began discussing this proposal. Although this was a great idea, it wasn’t yet possible from a development perspective. The only information that was available to us was the date when our system generated the reporting files and passed them along to our internal accreditation team for review before submission to the individual state bars.

Keeping that in mind, we decided to build a tool in our backend that allows our Accreditation Team to record the date of the file upload and present it to customers on their personal CLE certificates page under the new "REPORTED AT" column.

In addition to making this information available on demand on your certificates pages, we’ll also now notify you by email as soon as the status is updated:

While this doesn’t guarantee that the state has processed and recorded the completion, it goes a long way toward increasing transparency with our customers.

We are currently working to collect feedback on this new feature and hope to add more features in the future based on all of your great ideas. Keep them coming!
