Hundreds of Lawline attorneys have already created their Lawline Profile, and it’s a good thing they did - over half of all contacts from Lawline Profiles are from people looking for legal services or legal advice, which is exactly why we created Lawline Profiles in the first place. Now, Lawline subscribers utilizing their profiles have an edge when clients are searching for legal services.
This month’s featured Lawline Profile belongs to an attorney with a fine arts and fashion background and a passion for art law:
Jane Cowles has had a truly fascinating career journey. She has undergraduate degrees in Fine Arts and English, and she began her time in fashion working for Lacoste, Richards of Greenwich, and as a photo editor for Arts & Antiques magazine. Later, she received her J.D. from the School of Law at Pace University, and an LLM in taxation from New York Law School. She has since been active in both the arts (you can see her artwork in Conde Nast Traveler, GQ, and exhibited in galleries in New York, Connecticut, and Italy!) and in law, where she practices business and transactional law, and has taught business law at the European School of Economics. Head over to her profile to read her article on understanding a home staging contract, or her speech What is Your Art Worth?, where she addresses the issues that arise when “placing a price tag on your artwork.”
