How to Improve Attorney Well-Being for Big Law Attorneys

Written by David Schnurman | Oct 13, 2022 2:43:42 PM

Not surprisingly a majority of attorneys in a 2020 ABA survey said they work long hours. It also showed that women attorneys were more likely than men to experience stress, anxiety, and depression.

On a positive note, in a 2021 ABA Legal Tech Report Survey, a majority of attorneys said that their firm is supportive of their mental health needs. Including supporting them as a parent and the ability for the attorney to take adequate breaks and make time for themself.

However, as shared in a recent Business Insider article , when it comes to Big Law the challenges of mental health are multiplied as many lawyers are expected to work 15-hour days and there are cultural and structural barriers for lawyers seeking help.

That is why Lawline is hosting a Virtual CLE Event on November 18th titled Well-Being in Big Law
