In a press release yesterday, Lawline announced that three women have been promoted to executive leadership positions. Sigalle Barness, Esq., has been named Chief Operating Officer, Meredith Cohen, MBA, has been named Director of Customer Experience, and Shaun Salmon, Esq., has been named Director of Content.
Since 2012, Sigalle Barness has overseen Lawline’s content development strategy. She also played a key role in revamping internal operations for four departments as well as significantly contributed to Lawline’s overall business strategy. Meredith Cohen has built the most transparent and attorney-centric approach to Lawline’s accreditation and compliance department, and Shaun Salmon has helped innovate Lawline’s programming and production departments, with a focus on niche programming unavailable in any other CLE company.
Lawline has been named a “NY Best Company To Work For” multiple years running and is thrilled to help pave the way for diversity and inclusion in the legal industry. “Lawline is proud to continue growing three of its talented employees,” said David Schnurman, Lawline’s Chief Executive Officer. “We believe not only in investing in our own, but in the power of women in the legal industry. We’re excited to bring fresh perspectives to the table as we continue to focus on the legal market.”
Shaun is the Director of Content at Lawline. She holds a JD with a certification in Intellectual Property/Entertainment & Sports Law from Seton Hall Law and is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey. In her free time, she coaches a high school dance team and choreographs the school’s musical. She is also a passionate advocate for animals and strives to cultivate Animal Law programs, among her other endeavors with the company.
