Public Profile Highlights: Featuring James Hsui

This month we’re highlighting an attorney with an exceptionally interesting background with the United Nations: 

James Hsui is a New York City based lawyer with expertise in nonprofit law, business law, and international Screen Shot 2019-12-12 at 9.55.05 AM-1law.  Prior to founding his namesake firm, James was a political affairs and principal legal adviser to a high-ranking diplomat in the United Nations system. There, he worked closely with non-governmental organizations, United Nations system entities, governments, international organizations, and multinational companies.  Since his time at the UN, he has served as Secretary of a group of high-level diplomats dedicated to addressing issues of common concern between the United Nations and Africa. He also currently serves as General Counsel of an internationally operating 501(c)(3) public charity dedicated to advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Additionally, he is a member of the board of directors of the BK Style Foundation, which seeks to create a better, more sustainable and equitable world, through fashion. James received his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School, where he was awarded the 2012 International Economic Law prize.
