Three Ways to Give This Holiday Season

As the new year approaches, we hope that 2019 brought you laughter, peace, and joy. Reflecting back on the year, we are reminded of how grateful we are for all of our customers and colleagues, and the importance of giving back to our communities. If you are feeling the spirit of the holiday season like we are, and are interested in year-end charitable giving, here is a list of reputable organizations in need of support:

  1. The Disabled American Veterans Charitable Service Trust is dedicated to empowering veterans with the tools they need to “lead high-quality lives with respect and dignity.” They provide grants in support of mental and physical rehabilitation programs, medical research for combat injuries, assistance with veterans benefits, housing, and more.
  2. The Innocence Project works tirelessly to exonerate wrongfully convicted individuals through the use of DNA evidence. The organization also conducts advocacy work with the aim of preventing future injustice. Your support can help send a wrongfully incarcerated individual back home where they belong.
  3. Donate water to residents of Flint, Michigan or send monetary donations to the United Way of Genesee County’s Flint Water Fund. Everyone deserves access to clean water, especially our own neighbors.

Happy Holidays from Lawline! Wishing you a happy and healthy New Year.
